Meet Learning Coach Autumn

Autumn joined KaiPod Learning Dover in February of 2024 and hails from the rural town of Acton, ME.

Before joining KaiPod, Autumn was a seventh-grade literacy teacher in northwestern Vermont. Autumn is no stranger to the wonder of interdisciplinary and individualized adolescent education, having spent time working as a district-wide remote and on-site substitute teacher, homeroom advisor, and a summer program Scratch instructor, which taught her the importance of fostering connection and community among her students as well as finding meaningful opportunities to enrich learning by leaning into students’ individual interests and goals.

Prior to starting her journey in education, Autumn spent time diversifying her knowledge base through coursework and independent research, working in the independent media industry, and presenting at multiple academic excellence conferences.

A big believer in inquiry and community-based learning, Autumn supports opportunities for students to be guided in pursuing their individual, real-world aligned goals and achieving invaluable insight due to their freedom to delve into higher-level inquiry. Moreover, Autumn is an immense proponent of experiential learning opportunities for students, and she is incredibly excited to facilitate enrichments enhanced through community collaborations and service-learning endeavors.

Autumn is qualified in English Secondary Education and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and Secondary Education from Keene State College in Keene, NH.

When Autumn isn’t keeping busy coaching Dover’s Upper Pod, you can find her in Southern Maine exploring the wilderness with her Border Collie mix, Brutus, tackling a new recipe, playing another round of disc golf, or immersed in her latest novel or podcast.

Meet Learning Coach Cynthia

Cynthia joined KaiPod Dover in 2023 and comes to us from Amesbury, Massachusetts. Originally from the west coast, she was born in California and lived many years in the Pacific Northwest. For over eight years, Cynthia has been an educator at a private progressive school in Massachusetts. She is no stranger to working with children of all ages, having spent time working as a school counselor and a teacher, which taught her the importance of meeting children where they are emotionally and socially.

Before starting her journey in education, Cynthia spent time as a mental health counselor and as a public programs coordinator at an innovative environmental learning center. A big proponent of learning ecosystems, Cynthia encourages students to experience the cultural and natural resources around them. She believes that learning happens everywhere. Cynthia is qualified in psychology and holds a Master's degree from Antioch University in Seattle. She holds another Master’s in Theatre Design from the University of California, San Diego. Her undergraduate degree is in Fine & Applied Arts/Anthropology/Medieval Studies from the University of Oregon. When Cynthia isn’t keeping busy with being a KaiPod Learning Coach, you can find her making art, reading, or walking around in 15th-century clothing at medieval events.

Flexible Curriculum Options

At KaiPod, we support families and students with your preferred curriculum of choice. Whether you already have a homeschool curriculum or an online program that works well for your child, we'll provide the support they need at the pod! If you are transitioning from a traditional public or private school, we’ll work with you to create a customized education plan.

For most students, this includes a self-paced curriculum so your child can learn at their own pace, moving faster or slower based on their own understanding. These options may include accredited online schools, workbook-based homeschool programs, or something even more customized.

We also offer three optional academic programs at no cost — Zearn (math for grades 3-8), Lexia (literacy for grades K-12), and Map Growth Assessments. Watch the video below to learn more!

KaiPod Learning is part of the Connecting Bright Futures Program, which allows us to offer the program at no cost to all New Hampshire families who enroll before September 25th, 2024.

The below pricing information is for families enrolling after September 25th, 2024, and for families not residing in New Hampshire who want to enroll their students in our New Hampshire location.

  • Open Door Policy
At KaiPod Learning, we recognize that all students are unique and learn in different ways. Thus, we are committed to giving students the flexibility they need to maximize their learning experience. For this reason, KaiPod Learning operates on an “open door” basis. Each student may come as frequently or infrequently as they wish based on their enrolled plan. Students may come for a whole day, a partial day, or for various brief intervals throughout the course of a single day. It’s your choice. We are here to offer support when and if your student needs it.

  • Standard Enrollment Days
The standard enrollment days for our part-time enrollment plans are listed below. We are able to accommodate alternate days based on availability!

    • 2 Day Plan: Tuesday and Thursday

    • 3 Day Plan: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday

  • One Semester Commitment
All KaiPod Learning enrollment plans are based on the local 36-week calendar and require a one-semester (five-month) commitment. If enrolling mid-year, there is a five-month commitment. After the one-semester or five-month commitment, enrollments may be cancelled with 30 days written notice.

  • One Month Happiness Guarantee
We want to ensure that we’re a good fit for your family! KaiPod Learning offers a one-month happiness guarantee. This 30-day trial period offers the opportunity for each family to determine if KaiPod Learning is the best fit for them. It also allows our team the opportunity to evaluate and ensure that we have the resources needed to meet the needs of each student we welcome into our pods. Families who provide written notice of program termination within thirty (30) days of initial enrollment are waived from their one-semester commitment. Please note that the first payment of the chosen payment plan is due in full and is nonrefundable. After the initial 30 days or one-month happiness guarantee period, families are obligated to the one-semester commitment and remaining months of tuition.
